No one could ever accuse the Mets management and ownership of moving with alacrity or intelligence since they’ve lost the likes of Carlos Beltran, Jose Reyes and more recently Daniel Murphy.
The Mets TV booth announcers have provided lot’s of cover over the years as Mets fans have been screwed around by a budget conscious franchise.
That is why Jose Reyes will become a NY Met once again … a $40 million dollar poker chip for practically nothing.
Under the worst circumstances Reyes is the best readily available player for the Mets at the lowest cost by far.
Money comes before pride and the Mets ownership will eat crow and Reyes will be a Met for the remainder of 2016.
